Location: In-Person. New York City (Midtown Manhattan)
Compensation: $18/hour
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week during business hours (generally 8–6 range, depending on coverage needs)
Duration: start ASAP, flexible end dates

ABOUT THIS INTERNSHIP
This internship is designed for future newsroom talent who want to build careers in journalism and grow into producer roles at Mo News.We are not looking for someone casually exploring media.
We are looking for someone who lives and breathes the news someone who wakes up curious about the world, reads deeply, understands historical context and cares about getting the story right.
The Mo News newsroom moves quickly and the work we do reaches hundreds of thousands of people every day. We take that responsibility seriously and expect the same from our interns.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This is not a passive internship. You will contribute real work that may be published.
You will:
Draft Instagram captions and permanent posts under deadline
Cut and edit short-form video clips for Reels (trim, crop, stitch, caption)
Assist in drafting newsletter stories
Monitor breaking news in real time
Fact-check and verify sources
Conduct research for stories, interviews, and workshops
Cross-post content across platforms
Help organize and archive content
Assist with studio setup for podcast guest interviews
You’ll work inside a real newsroom environment where speed, accuracy and editorial judgment all matter.
